E2 and Formula Blue

Blow Flyers, with reference to the supercharged mills underhood, the double page article leading imagery on pages 52 and 53 is epic.

The cover of Wheels magazine’s April 2010 edition featured two stunning Holden Commodores. “Fastest Commodoe test, ever!” was the bold proclamation.

Magnificent emerald green

…..behind is the Holden Dealer Team Blue Meanie

The foreground example of the striking pair of Aussie heavyweights, dramatically reflecting the bright lights of an indoor industrial setting, is a magnificent emerald green Walkinshaw E2 Supercar. Lurking directly behind is the Holden Dealer Team Blue Meanie, brashly and unashamedly an ode to the mighty Holden Commodore VK Group A SS, a very modern (for the day), and beefed up, example.

Both cars feature upgraded, well, everything. And that’s quite appropriate given the virtual given doubling of motive force being produced up front. So brakes, chassis and drivetrain all contribute to the reported reliability. The article details all the key data, to give an in depth review, as well as a nice little sidebar update on the iconic Holden Dealer Team at the time of print. Along with the comprehensive performance data (BTW a 0-100 of 4.57sec of rthe Walkinshaw vs 5.72 for the HDT) the photography is stunning, just like the cars, with the black highlights on both machines accenting the rich green and blue paint jobs of the Walkinshaw and HDT respectively.
